Snowstorm and Ice Sensation

Towards the end of the 2007/8 season restructuring of the teams took place, and two new teams were created - Snowstorm (Elementary) and Ice Sensation (Intermediate).

For the 2008/9 season Snowstorm was made up of 18 skaters aged between 9 and 15 years of age - the photo above shows just a few of the girls!  The team has competed in Sheffield for the 2008 and 2009 British Synchronised Skating Championships and in Dumfries for the Scottish Synchronised Skating Championships.  Consisting entirely of girls new to synchro, these competitions have been invaluable, both in team building and in confidence boosting! Snowstorm "Skater of the Year" is Eleanor Penfold.  Well done, Eleanor!

For 2008/9 Ice Sensation was made up of 12 skaters between 11 and 25 years of age, and 3 alternates. Having enjoyed great success at the British and Scottish Synchronised Skating Championships, Ice Sensation recently competed in Hertgostad, Holland and once again came first!   Ice Sensation "Skater of the Year" is Ellen Children.  Well done, Ellen!
