This season's team success at Dumfries, October 2009.

Basingstoke Synchronised skating teams had a successful weekend at the Scottish National opens and open competition in Dumfries.

Ice Sensation competed in the intermediate 2 category and skated their new programme to a medley from "Copacabana", a clean skate and lively performance enabled them to beat 5 other teams and take home the gold medal retaining their position from last season.

Skaters:

Olivia Bates, Marnie Bliss, Charlotte Bush, Ellen Children, India Gill, Fiona Hammett, Annabelle Herbert, Emma Herbert, Alyson Kisiel, Debbie Langley, Imogen Martin, Charlotte Parrington-Tyler, Isobelle Ross, and Megan Ridout,

Coach Fiona Harris said "I am so proud of both the teams, I was really hoping that Snowstorm would earn themselves a medal at some point this season and I'm delighted that it was so early on and that it was silver! Ice Sensation really felt the pressure having won all of their competitions last season, everyone was out to beat them but they didn't let the pressure get to them and they skated beautifully."

The Teams coached by Fiona Harris (nee Gamble) and assisted by Nadia Sargeant train at the Planet Ice Silver Dome arena in Basingstoke and are already working hard in order to continue their success at the British Championships in February to beheld at Sheffield arena.
